Where is spirituality?

This is a very interesting article mentioning some talks given at the Christian Resources Exhibition [where the Nightingales are today and tomorrow]. It is amazing the clarity of sound that is coming out from all angles - that church must move to the people and not wait for the people to come along on a Sunday morning.

Check this out:

“The address provided an honest and frank assessment of why traditional Sunday worship is seen by many as outdated and irrelevant and yet the interest in spirituality, new-age faith and the occult has never been greater.”

Question: How do we as church provide environments in which people feel that they can explore Christian Spirituality?

[Oh and this one on the same site has provoked some interesting questions]

Worship Songs

This article is fascinating. It is a fairly in-depth take on contepmporary worship songs with a strong challenge to bring about change. The basic thrust of the srticle I really love, on so many levels. But the reality for change is way beyond me. Read it, it reflect on it. I believe that words and music, that are focussed on in this article, are not the only art forms that can bring forth indigenous worship. What creative talents has God given you? Writing [prose, poetry], painting, drawing, dance [that might need some clarification in our settings!!], speaking, acting [?up?], passion, prayer, …

You might get the idea, but the possibilities are far more than I can imagine [that you see is not my area of creativity!!].
