We live in a world where we expect to be able to control our environment - we effectively expect to be able to make our own purpose built, custom made world. Trouble is that it never works... The growing/maturing process [even from children to adults] should begin to cause to look outside of ourselves. To begin to "look to others interests before our own", to "love our neighbour as ourselves". For many of us inside the church and out, we have not grown up ... but then that transformation process is helped by the Holy Spirit, as we co-operate. Phew! Good questions em … a bit of both maybe?
