Uganda Excitement

Friday, June 29th, 2007

I had a good chat with Steve Brown from Uganda today. I can’t believe it is only 7 weeks until we go! Very exciting! They have just come back from a safari trip to Murchison Falls. They said it was fantastic, and saw lats of animals [lions, leopards, hippos and the like!!]. Mind you they did go for 3 nights. We are planning to do that trip, although anly for 1 or 2 nights.

Steve has posted one of the funniest things i have read on their website today. If you are going to Uganda, knnow some who is, or just have a sense of humour, you have to read it!

While I am here, Anna from KBC who si comig to Uganda as well will be there on Sunday! woohoo!

Backgarden Baptisms

It was a fantastic morning last Sunday. Not weather-wise, in that sense it was wet and cold, but that did not dampen the enthusiasm [much]. We planned to baptise Dorothy and baptise her we did. She was exceedingly brave, I thought, and i love the fact she loved it so much - she was desparate to get baptised outside. It was all very “organic” [apart from the plastic pool] and so I loved it too. I have a feeling thouigh that future ‘candidates’ may not be so resilient… The photos tell the story:
