Connection

It is my dream that we should be a church that is connected in three ways. We need to be Connected to God, if there is no life and relationship with God what’s the point. We must live to foster this life. We need to be Connected to Each Other, the community that is church cannot exist through meetings, our connection must run deeper to real life. We need to be Connected to the World in which we live. Much of recent church history has been characterised by a radical disconnection from the world, believing that the fullness of Christian life is best worked out in Church environments. As Steve Taylor once sang “they only drink milk from a Christian cow”! Genuine connection to the world must go beyond ‘surviving work out there’ and occasional evangelistic forays and must come down to having friends, loving your neighbour and including them in your life and the life of the church.
